'Don't Rely On Google Maps': NTA Warns Students Ahead of NEET UG 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has warned students to not trust Google Maps for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 exam that is scheduled to take place on May 3 (Sunday). NTA advised students to visit their exam centres in advance to ensure they know the routes to reach the exam centre on time on May 3. The NTA warned students that some exam centres may have wrong location pins on Google Maps.
"Candidates are advised to carefully verify the exact address of their examination centre mentioned on the Admit Card," NTA tweeted. "It has come to notice that some centres may be incorrectly mapped on Google Maps and similar platforms(e.g., IIIT Pune ). Please do not rely solely on map pins."
NTA advised students to cross-check the full address on your Admit Card, confirm the correct location in advance, and plan travel accordingly. "Keep sufficient buffer for traffic, weather (rain in some regions), or other delays," NTA added in the tweet. "Please stay calm, plan ahead, and ensure timely arrival."
Students should note that the reporting time for NEET UG 2026 is 11 am to 1:30 pm, and no student will be allowed to enter the exam hall after 1:30 pm. The exam will be held from 2 pm to 5:20 pm.
