NEET UG 2025: Results Of 75 Candidates Affected By Power Cuts Out, Many Report Unfair Drop

NEET Results 2025

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET UG 2025 results for 75 students who encountered disruptions due to power cuts during the examination. The results were uploaded to the official NTA website at 6 PM, and each student was also notified individually via email. The counselling process for these students is scheduled to begin on July 21.

These students had previously reported technical issues during the examination held on May 4. Candidates can check their results directly through the official link. Instructions to view the results are also provided on the site.

Legal Battle In Madhya Pradesh High Court

The affected students had approached the Madhya Pradesh High Court, seeking redress for the examination irregularities. Initially, a single bench had ordered a re-examination for the students. However, following an appeal by the NTA, a division bench overturned that decision and instructed the agency to release the results instead.

Following the result declaration, many students and their parents expressed dissatisfaction, citing discrepancies between their mock test performance and final scores.

Parents Raise Concerns Over Mark Disparity

Sachin Garg, father of student Tanishka Garg, noted that his daughter had consistently scored over 600 marks in mock exams, but her final result stood at only 520, a drop of nearly 25%.

Another parent, Ritesh Agarwal, echoed similar concerns, stating that several students who had the potential to secure seats in top institutions like AIIMS may now have to settle for less competitive colleges due to the reduced scores.

Students Plan To Approach Supreme Court

In response to the outcome, several students from Indore and Ujjain are now preparing to file a petition in the Supreme Court of India.

According to their legal representative, Mridul Bhatnagar, the students argue that the power outages during the exam directly impacted their performance. They are seeking justice and a fair resolution to the situation.
