NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: NTA Opens Scribe Registration Window for PwD Candidates
As per the latest notification, the registration window became active on June 9, 2026, and will remain open until 11:50 PM on June 12, 2026. Eligible candidates are advised to complete the process within the specified deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
The NEET UG 2026 re-exam is scheduled for June 21, 2026. The original examination, conducted on May 3, was cancelled following allegations of a question paper leak, prompting authorities to organize a fresh test.
Steps to Register Scribe Details
Candidates eligible for the scribe facility can follow these steps:
- Visit the official NEET website.
- Sign in using their application credentials.
- Click on the “Register Scribe Details” option available on the candidate dashboard.
- Choose the preferred scribe option and provide the required information.
- Review the submitted details through the application form section and confirm the updates.
NTA has urged candidates to regularly check its official websites for the latest announcements and examination-related updates.
Meanwhile, senior officials from the Union Health Ministry, Education Ministry, NTA, and the National Medical Commission (NMC) are expected to brief the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare regarding preparations for the June 21 re-examination.
The committee has sought a detailed update on arrangements for the re-test, marking another review meeting involving officials from the concerned agencies. Authorities have previously stated that their immediate focus is to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the examination in pen-and-paper mode.
