NEET UG 2026 to BITSAT: List of exams whose registrations will likely begin in January

NEET UG 2026

NEET UG is the single medical entrance exam in the country for admission to courses in medicine like MBBS and BDS. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), once a year, unlike JEE Main, which is conducted twice.

There is no notification around NEET UG 2026 shared by the exam conducting body; however, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the NEET UG 2026 syllabus, outlining the topics to be covered in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the upcoming medical entrance examination. The NEET UG 2025 was held on May 4, with applications starting February 7, 2025, to March 7, 2025.

JEE Main session two

For JEE Main 2026, the application process for Session 2 (April 2026 exams) is expected to commence in the last week of January 2026, in line with the schedule followed during the previous session. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the details after the conclusion of Session 1.

BITSAT

BITSAT is held for admission to UG programmes in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). The BITS Aptitude Test (BITSAT) application window is underway from December 15. The application will remain open till March 16 for session one, and for session two, the application window is April 20, 2026 and May 2, 2026. Interested students can submit their applications online at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.

MHT CET

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) scores are used for admission to engineering and medical colleges in the state. The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) will now be held twice a year, beginning with the 2026-27 academic session.

From the 2026 admission cycle, MHT-CET will be conducted in two sessions — first in April and then in May 2026. Appearing for at least one session will be mandatory for admission to professional courses, while appearing for both will remain optional.

For students who take both attempts, the best of the two scores will be considered for admission, replicating the JEE Main format followed for national-level engineering admissions. CET Cell has released a tentative exam schedule with MAH MHT CET 2026 for the PCM group will be conducted from April 11 to 19, while the PCB group exams will take place from April 21 to 26. The MAH MBA/MMS CET 2026 is scheduled from April 6 to 8

AP EAMCET

The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) serves as the gateway for admissions into engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy programmes across the state. The examinations are set to take place on May 12, 13, 14, 15, and 18, 2026, and the registration process will also be available through the same portal. The AP EAMCET 2026 examinations for Agriculture and Pharmacy will be, across four sessions.

KCET

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) as an eligibility test to shortlist candidates for admission to engineering, veterinary and pharmacy courses. The Authority has not released any dates to conduct the exam, nor application dates out; however, in 2025, registration opened on January 23, 2025, with the final deadline February 24, 2025.

In 2025, KEA held the exam between April 16 and 18 in two shifts on April 16 and 17. The first shift ran from 10:30 am to 11:50 am, and the second shift ran from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm.

NIFT

The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the NIFT 2026 registration process on December 8 via its official portal, exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. Interested candidates can apply by completing the application form online. The deadline to submit the form without a late fee is January 6, 2026. Applications submitted between January 7 and 10, 2026, will require an additional late fee of Rs 5,000.

VITEEE

The application process for VITEEE 2026 is underway. Registrations opened on October 24, 2025, and, according to the official VIT website, the tentative deadline to apply is March 31, 2026. The examination is scheduled to be conducted from April 28 to May 3, 2026. Results will be declared in the second week of May 2026, followed by the commencement of online counselling during the same period.

WBJEE

The WBJEE is for candidates aspiring to pursue degree courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture across government and private institutions in West Bengal. The exam is conducted annually by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) in an offline, OMR-based format.

As of now, the Board has not released the dates for the exam; however,  based on past trends, the registration process for WBJEE 2026 is likely to begin in January 2026 on the official website. Applicants must carefully complete the form, pay the application fee, and submit it within the stipulated time. The deadline for submission is expected to fall in February 2026.

OJEE

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will issue the notification for OJEE 2026 on its official website ojee.nic.in. The registration process will likely begin in the last week of January 2026 and will conclude in March 2026. For OJEE 2025, the exams were conducted from May 2-12, 2025. The registration started on January 30.

AEEE

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, has opened the registration process for the AEEE 2026 examination for BTech. aspirants. The deadline to apply for Phase 1 of the exam is January 15, 2026. Eligible candidates must complete the application form through the official portal, aeee.amrita.edu, and pay the registration fee of Rs 1300 via online payment methods. The AEEE 2026 is a national-level entrance test conducted to provide admission to engineering students in this prestigious institution.

TS EAMCET

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) will be conducting the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TG EAMCET 2026). The computer-based entrance test for engineering admissions will be held on May 9, 10 and 11, 2026. The entrance examination for admissions to agriculture and pharmacy courses will take place on May 4 and May 5, 2026.

CUET PG

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Common University Entrance Test – Postgraduate (CUET PG). The exam is for those students who want to take admission in postgraduate courses offered by Central, State, private and Deemed Universities, as well as other participating institutions. The registration is underway from December 14, 2025, and will close on January 14, 2026.

This time, NTA has allowed candidates greater flexibility in choosing their exam centres. Applicants will now be able to select up to four examination city preferences while filling out the Common University Entrance Test for postgraduate programmes. These city options must be chosen within the state of the candidate’s permanent or current residence.

TANCET

Anna University conducts the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, the TANCET exam, for the candidates who wish to get admission into MBA and MCA courses in colleges in Tamil Nadu. More than 200 colleges in Tamil Nadu accept TANCET 2026 scores in PG programmes. As of now, there is no notification for the same; however, as per the 2025 schedule, applications started on January 24, 2025
