Cutoff for NEET 2024

The official cutoff for NEET 2024 has not been announced yet, as the exam itself hasn’t taken place. It is scheduled for May 5th, 2024. However, we can make some basic idea based on the trends of the previous three years.

NEET 2023 CUT OFF

The NEET 2023 cutoff scores are crucial for determining eligibility and are influenced by various factors, including the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the availability of seats. It’s important to note that cutoff scores can vary from year to year and across different categories, such as General, OBC, SC, ST, and others.

NEET 2023 Cut OFF Based on Category

  • General Category: Minimum qualifying percentile of 50th, with a corresponding cutoff score of around 720–740.
  • OBC Category: Minimum qualifying percentile of 40th, with a corresponding cutoff score of around 660–680.
  • SC Category: Minimum qualifying percentile of 40th, with a corresponding cutoff score of around 650–670.
  • ST Category: Minimum qualifying percentile of 40th, with a corresponding cutoff score of around 600–620.

What is Qualifying for NEET 2024?

Qualifying for NEET 2024 involves meeting certain eligibility criteria set by the National Testing Agency (NTA). These criteria are designed to ensure that only students who have a strong foundation in science subjects and meet the minimum academic requirements like are able to take the exam.

Eligible candidates must have completed or be appearing in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. No upper age limit exists for NEET-UG applicants. General category needs 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; SC, ST, OBC-NCL require 40%. Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals qualify. Candidates must be 17 by December 31, 2024, for NEET 2024, with unlimited attempts.

How many students will be selected for NEET 2024?

Accurately predicting the exact number of students selected for NEET 2024 is challenging. However, insights from the previous year’s data shed light on the selection process. NEET offers a total of 1,67,951 MBBS, 27,868 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 603 BVSc and AH seats across India. In NEET 2023, 11.46 lakh students qualified.
