NEET UG 2025: List of medical colleges in Maharashtra
- NEET UG Maharashtra State MBBS Colleges 2025: Being the third largest state in the country after Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra is home to numerous government and private medical colleges. The state has 42 government medical colleges, with two colleges under the central government and the rest under the state government. Here is the list of some of the government medical colleges in Maharashtra:

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Nagpur), Armed Forces Medical College (Pune), B. J. Govt. Medical College (Pune), Dr Vaishampayan Memorial Medical College (Solapur), Dr Shankarrao Chavan Govt. Medical College (Nanded), Government Medical Colleges in Alibag, Amravati, Baramati, Akola, Ambernath, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Bhandara, Buldana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Hingoli, Jalgaon, among others. - 11th rank, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune: The Pune-based college scored 64.10 under the NIRF 2024 medical rankings. The admissions are purely based on the merit list of the NEET UG. Last year, 250 medical seats with 212 for general and 38 for NRI.(Deemed University), Prakash Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (Sangli) and MGM Medical College and Hospital (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), among others 11th rank, Dr. D. - 23rd, Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research, Wardha: The Wardha-based medical college scored 60.14 under the NIRF 2024 medical rankings. As stated in the information brochure of 2024-25, the fee structure for general students’ tuition fee is Rs 20,75,000, while for NRI, it is $ 27,500.
- 30th, Armed Force Medical College, Pune: The Pune-based medical college ranked 57.68 in the NIRF rankings. In college, graduate students have to compulsorily work as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. A total of 145 medical cadets (115 boys & 30 girls) will be admitted in a year, as mentioned on the official website.
