NEET UG 2026: Aadhaar, UDID and Category Details Must Be Updated, Says NTA

Through an official notice, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked NEET UG 2026 aspirants to update their Aadhaar, UDID and category certificates. Candidates applying for NEET UG 2026 must ensure that all documents are correct and updated well before the registration process begins, to avoid rejection at a later stage.

NEET UG 2026 Application: Document Update Guidelines

Candidates must ensure that all details on their Aadhaar Card are accurate and fully updated. The following particulars should be clearly mentioned and verified on the Aadhaar card:

• Name

• Date of Birth

• Gender

• Photograph

• Address

• Biometric information (where applicable)

Candidates requiring corrections or updates in their Aadhaar details must follow the guidelines issued by UIDAI. Aadhaar update services are available through the official UIDAI portals at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in or uidai.gov.in.

UDID Card for PwD Candidates

For NEET UG 2026 applicants, the UDID card for Persons with Disabilities must be valid, updated and renewed wherever necessary. Any outdated or invalid UDID card may lead to issues during document verification.

Category Certificates

Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PwD must ensure that their category certificates are valid and issued as per the latest government norms.

When Will NTA Begin NEET UG 2026 Registration?

The NTA has not yet announced the NEET UG 2026 application dates. Once released, eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. As per previous trends, the NEET UG exam is likely to be held in May 2026.
