In its latest response, NTA stated that the examination authority is carefully analysing the information received from different sources. The agency added that findings, if any, will be verified through proper procedures before any further action is taken.

Officials also maintained that the NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted under strict monitoring and security arrangements across centres nationwide.

Multi-layer security arrangements highlighted

Amid rising concerns among aspirants, NTA pointed to the extensive security measures used during the examination. These reportedly included:

• CCTV surveillance at examination centres
• Biometric verification of candidates
• GPS tracking of question paper transportation
• Special monitoring teams and invigilators
• Strict frisking and identity verification procedures

The agency said these measures were implemented to ensure transparency and reduce the chances of unfair practices during the exam.

Inputs related to alleged malpractice under review

Sources indicate that the agency received several inputs regarding suspected irregularities after the examination was conducted. The matter is now being examined internally, and authorities are expected to take action if any verified evidence emerges during the investigation process.

NTA also urged students and parents not to believe unverified claims circulating online until official updates are released.
