NEET 2025 Exam: There is an important news for NEET UG candidates. The Madras High Court on Thursday rejected the demand to conduct the NEET exam again. This decision comes after rejecting the appeal of the students who were complaining about the exam being affected due to power cuts in Chennai.
Students' petition and their demands
S Sai Priya and 11 other students had filed an appeal against the June 6 order, in which they had requested the National Testing Agency (NTA) to re-conduct the exam at the centers affected due to power cuts. These students were claiming that their exams were affected due to power cuts at four examination centers in Chennai.
Court's reasoning
A division bench of Justice J Nisha Banu and Justice M Jothiraman said that the integrity and fairness of the examination was fully ensured by the centre superintendent, invigilator and supervisors of NTA. NTA also investigated the matter and got an independent statistical analysis of the exam data done.
